Rhian rushed their beloved cat Artemis to the vet when he became severely constipated. Despite an initial enema, Artemis is still unable to pass stool, and his condition has now become life threatening.  

“Artemis is like a forever puppy,” Rhian told the VHS. “He might be seven years old and a cat, but neither of those things ring true to him. He's been with me through some of the hardest points in my life, and through some of the best.” Artemis became family when difficult circumstances meant Rhian had to leave home, “far too young.” He means everything to Rhian.  

Now, Artemis needs x-rays, another enema, and possibly hospitalization and manual stool removal to relieve the blockage and save his life. 

Rhian has already spent everything they had trying to help Artemis. After recently being laid off, and living with a disability that limits work options, they have been unable to access loans or credit. With no savings and no support system to lean on, they are facing the unimaginable possibility of losing Artemis. 

With treatment, Artemis has a very good chance of recovery and many happy years ahead with Rhian.
