Bonnie rushed her sweet cat, Dyno, to the hospital when he stopped eating. Dyno has been living with kidney disease and with loving care from Bonnie, his condition has been kept under control until now. However, not eating is a dangerous sign in cats with kidney disease. Dyno urgently needs 24-hour hospitalization, medication, and IV fluids to slowly and carefully flush the toxins out of his body that healthy kidneys would otherwise filter out. Treatment can help him recover and let him continue living a happy life. 

Dyno has been part of Bonnie’s family for 14 years and has been a huge emotional support through everything. “He is essential to our lives,” Bonnie explained. “He loves to ‘talk’, ask for kisses, and be carried in our arms. He’s incredibly sweet and gentle, keeps my daughter company while she studies, and is always sleeping in our arms or following us to the bathroom. Every morning, he gets excited and comes to give us morning kisses. He’s all the family me and my daughter ever had.” 

Caring for Dyno has taken a heavy emotional and financial toll. Trying to make it all work while living on a low income, Bonnie and her daughter are doing everything they can, but the cost of his care is overwhelming. Still, Bonnie says, “we keep fighting because he’s still fighting. He shows us every day that he wants to be here with us, and we want to keep giving him that chance.”
