About Lexie

One month ago, Maggie found Lexie tied to a tree and abandoned. She was severely malnourished and very anxious. Maggie knew she had to do something to help Lexie, and so she took her with her and tried to get her to drink some water and eat something. The two bonded almost immediately and despite not having stable housing, Maggie knew that she and Lexie were meant to be together. Thankfully, soon after meeting Lexie, Maggie was able to secure stable housing for the two of them.  

Maggie has been doing everything she can to take good care of Lexie, including hand feeding her wet food to make sure she builds up her strength. Despite that, Lexie has been unable to put on any weight and lacks energy. Maggie is concerned that there is something deeper going on and has reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for support.
