Chelsey has already been through more than anyone her age should. At just 23, she recently left an abusive home and is doing her best to rebuild her life while living on a low income. Through it all, her cats Neptr and Pluto have been her light. 

But now, Neptr is in crisis. 

When Chelsey noticed Neptr straining to pee and then urinating blood, she rushed him to the vet. Neptr needs urgent veterinary care to diagnose and treat a potentially life-threatening urinary issue. 

“Neptr is the sweetest boy. He loves to cuddle really close and gives you the softest head nudges.” Chelsey told the VHS. “He means the world to me and Pluto. I don’t know what we’d do if we lost him”.  

On her limited income, Chelsey can’t afford the care Neptr needs. That’s why she has reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for help.
