When Glenna noticed that her usually playful dog, Teddy, had lost interest in his favourite activities, she knew something was wrong. Her concern grew when she discovered several unfamiliar lumps on his body. Without hesitation, Glenna rushed Teddy to the animal hospital. There, veterinarians delivered heartbreaking news: the lumps appeared to be malignant and would require urgent surgical removal to save Teddy’s life. 

Glenna took Teddy in from her former boss who wasn't able to care for him. Ever since, Teddy and Glenna have been inseparable. Teddy was there for Glenna's pregnancy when no one else was and is now both Glenna and her young son's best friend. "Teddy loves blankets and his stuffies. He loves to swim in the summer and play ball. He is a gentle giant. He is the sweetest dog I've ever met," Glenna told the VHS. 

As a single parent living on disability, Glenna is unable to afford the full cost of Teddy's treatment. "I know Teddy needs this surgery, as he is moving slower and is just not himself. I have to do whatever I can to help him before it's too late," Glenna told the VHS.
