I hope your dog is feeling better soon. I would have given more if I had it but I literally gave you every last penny I have. Hopefully that donor matches it and makes it a bit more helpful. Wishing you two the very best

About Rudy

Rudy is a joyful dog who is the definition of a fighter. After a rough start to life suffering from parvovirus and then being attacked by an off-leash dog, he finally found his happy home with his guardian Valerie.

Over the last couple of days, Valerie has noticed that Rudy is not behaving like his playful self and is unable to urinate.

Concerned, Valerie rushed Rudy to the vet where testing revealed that he is suffering from bladder stones. They are very large and causing him severe distress, so the vet has recommended catheterization.

Valerie lives on her own and despite facing several challenges, does everything she can to ensure Rudy lives a happy, fulfilling life. Rudy has been her loyal companion through many difficulties. Unfortunately, the cost of the initial vet appointment and testing used up all her savings and she is unable to afford the costly treatment to save Rudy’s life. That is why she reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for support.

Can you donate today to help Rudy get the care he needs to get back to his life with Valerie?

An anonymous donor is currently matching donations made to help Rudy and other animals through the VHS’s McVitie Fund, up to $25,000! This means your gift will go twice as far in getting Rudy the care he needs to return home to Valerie.
