About Daniel

Meet Daniel, a sweet young kitten who has unfortunately been facing severe health struggles. Daniel entered the lives of his loving guardian Luke and family when he was only a few months old. Luke told the VHS McVitie team that, “from the moment he arrived, he became an integral part of our family, endearing himself to us with his playful antics and boundless energy. Daniel has a charming, silly side that brought laughter into our home.” Daniel also shares a strong bond with his cat brother and inseparable companion, Mitts. 

Daniel has recently lost his big personality and charm and seems to be in a great deal of pain. He has also been vomiting frequently and his family is very worried about him. Concerned for his well-being, Luke took Daniel to the vet, where an initial appointment was not able to diagnose his ailment. Upon further testing, including bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasound, the vet found that Daniel is suffering from an obstruction. 

Luke and his fiancée work very hard to provide for their family but unfortunately the cost of the initial diagnostics used up all of their savings and they are not able to afford the $1600 life-saving surgery Daniel needs to remove the obstruction. That is why they have reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for support.
