Beth noticed her sweet cat Boo struggling to urinate and walking away to a dry litter box. She quickly took him to the vet, where it was determined that he is suffering from a blocked urinary tract. Boo will require life-saving medical attention to be able to urinate again, along with monitoring at the veterinary clinic post-procedure. 

Boo is Beth's young son's "best friend and comfort." Beth's son is minimally verbal, but can often be found chatting with Boo and giving him gentle pets. "His eyes are like giant orange pumpkins, and his fur is like black silk. His favorite toy is his crinkly fish and a ball with bells. He adores lounging on our beds or couch in the sunshine," Beth lovingly describes Boo. 

As a single mother of two children with extra needs, Beth does her best to save a little of her disability payments each month. Beth's son has just been put on a new medication that has quickly depleted Beth's savings. She cannot afford the full cost of Boo's urgent treatment.
