About Cherie

Lucie adopted bonded siblings Cherie (right) and Chaton (left) over six years ago with her son. Cherie "is a sweetheart. She is playful and happy," Lucie described. Cherie and Chaton and the love they have for each other brings Lucie and her son peace and joy through difficult times.

When Lucie noticed Cherie struggling to urinate and losing interest in playing, she rushed her to the vet. There, testing determined that Cherie has bladder stones that are causing her great pain. Without urgent surgery, they could become life-threatening.

Lucie and her son adore and diligently care for Cherie and Chaton. Both cats have been on a vet-recommended urinary care diet for several years. On a limited income, Lucie stretches her budget as much as possible to afford the basics while caring for her son as he struggles with his mental health. After Cherie's initial testing, Lucie cannot afford her life-saving surgery and has reached out the Vancouver Humane Society for help.

Can you donate today to help Cherie get the care she needs to come back home to her family?
