Ginny’s story began in a heartbreaking place. She was found abandoned in a garbage bin as a kitten and was rescued by a kind stranger who took her to an animal shelter. That’s where Lana met her and instantly knew Ginny belonged in her family. 

Since then, Ginny has been a beloved companion and best friend to Lana’s son, who is an only child. The two are inseparable. “Ginny is deaf and we are her whole world,” Lana told the VHS. “She’s sweet, smart, playful, and funny.” 

Recently, Ginny began wheezing and suffering from nosebleeds. She has now stopped eating, and the vet suspects a fungal infection or possibly a tumor. Ginny urgently needs diagnostic testing to find out what’s wrong and treatment right away. 

Lana, a single mom on a low income, is heartbroken and worried for her sweet girl. “She means everything to us,” Lana told the VHS’s veterinary support team.
