Sweet senior Ourson and Claire have been each others loyal companions for the last 12 years when Claire took Ourson in. Her name means “little bear” in French, and she truly has lived up to that name with her curiosity and imagination, spending time spying on the neighbours from the windowsill.  

Ourson has recently been diagnosed with lymphoma, but thanks to Claire’s diligence in her care, it was caught and diagnosed early. Ourson now needs surgery to remove the tumor as soon as possible to ensure that the cancer does not spread and cause any extensive damage.  

As a senior living off a fixed income, Claire ensures to set money aside for emergencies. Due to the high cost of the surgery, Claire is unable to afford the full cost and has reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for support.
