About Hope

Hope is a sweet dog who loves hiking and being outdoors. A few days ago, her guardian, Kathleen, noticed that she wasn’t as active as usual and was having some unusual discharge. Kathleen rushed Hope to the vet where initial testing revealed that Hope is suffering from a pyometra infection.

Pyometra is a serious infection that occurs when the uterus becomes filled with pus. If left untreated, it can be fatal. Prompt veterinary care, including surgery, is crucial to treat this condition.

Kathleen is a mother of a young child and does everything she can to ensure those in her care are well looked after. After being severely affected by the wildfires a few years ago, she has worked hard to rebuild her life. The cost of the initial checkup and testing used up the last of her savings, which is why she reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for support.

Can you help Hope get the urgent surgery she needs to return to her happy, active self with her human sibling?
