About Max

Max was enjoying a wonderful time camping with his guardian Jessica and his three human siblings when he was attacked by an off-leash dog that ran up to him. This sudden and unexpected attack left him with severe wounds and a broken leg. Max’s injuries are painful and he is in desperate need of medical attention to heal and return to his joyful, playful life.

Max’s guardian, Jessica, told the Vancouver Humane Society that “he is a very gentle and affectionate dog who loves lots of cuddles and attention. He’s also very playful and loves running around with our cat.”

Jessica is a single mom who has been through her share of challenges. After leaving a difficult situation, she worked tirelessly to build a new life for herself and her children. Four years ago, she found a loyal companion in Max, and they have been inseparable ever since. Despite the hardships she has faced, Jessica has always put the well-being of her children, Max, and their cat at the top of her priorities. Unfortunately, the medical treatment that Max now needs, including surgery, is very costly and more than Jessica is able to afford on her own. That is why she has reached out to the VHS for support.

Can you donate today to help Max on his road to recovery?
