About Quincy
When Quincy first came home with Elise, she had severe skin infections and anxiety. Thanks to the dedication of Elise and her daughters, Quincy was able to heal and now lives a happy, playful life.
Quincy has just had a scary incident where she ingested parts of a fabric toy that was given to her as a gift by a friend. Usually very timid with her toys, Quincy’s energy got the best of her, and she ate part of the toy. When she woke up this morning, she seemed to be straining and behaving like she was in pain. A worried, Elise rushed her to the vet where an ultrasound found that the parts of the toy have caused Quincy to have an intestinal blockage. The vet started her on IV fluids right away, but Quincy needs to have urgent surgery to have the blockage removed to save her life.
Elise is a single mother to two young daughters and had to use the last of her savings on the initial vet appointment, ultrasound, and IV fluids. That is why she has reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for support.
Can you donate today to help Quincy get the care she needs to come home safe to her family?
