About Jenny

Jenny is a loving companion dog who was rescued as a puppy and has since created a strong bond with her guardian, Shanaya. 

Shanaya noticed that Jenny was not eating as much as usual and tried changing her food. Unfortunately, this didn’t help and a few days later Shanaya noticed that Jenny was lethargic and vomiting. This prompted her to rush Jenny to the vet, where initial testing found that Jenny is also suffering from a fever. 

Jenny is currently receiving IV fluids but requires further testing to determine the cause of her ailments and provide life-saving treatment. Shanaya is a single-mother who has used up the entirety of her emergency savings on the initial checkup and IV fluids. That is why she has reached out to the Vancouver Humane Society for support. 

Shanaya told the VHS that Jenny is her “best friend who has supported [her] through many health struggles”.
